The idea of waking up to your morning brew in the form of a chocolate bar sounds quite intriguing. Although the idea may work, why not just have both and basically have two doses of coffee? No problem with that! There’s something about the smell of coffee that just smells so good.
Green & Black’s Organic Espresso Dark Chocolate bar infuses 70% dark chocolate with Arabica coffee. The coffee taste is quite prominent, starting off with a small hit of chocolate and then followed by a strong coffee/espresso flavor. It is a bit difficult to really distinguish between the chocolate and the coffee, but the typical strong bitterness of dark chocolate is masked nicely, with a smoothness and a hint of smokiness. There are no grains of coffee in this bar either, and melts nicely.
It really is a cup of coffee in the form a chocolate bar, with minor notes of chocolate followed by an intense coffee flavor. What I like about Green & Black’s Organic chocolate bars overall, is the quality of the ingredients they use. And in this instance, they really live up to the intense smoothness of coffee in the form of a chocolate bar.
