I was only familiar with Garden Fresh Gourmet’s line of salsas and hummus, so it was interesting to discover that they also have tortilla chips – And a wide variety of types for that matter. But thinking about it, it does make sense, since what does go great with fresh salsa? Why crunchy tortilla chips, of course! We have to balance those servings of fruits and vegetables from the salsa with something crunchy and delicious. Fried tortilla chips is the answer.
There’s an excellent nutty-grain flavor to the Garden Fresh Gourmet Original Salted Tortilla Chips that compliments quite well with salsa. I can’t say that that there is anything truly strikingly different with these in terms of quality, but they are good nonetheless. The chips are a decent size, crunchy, and hold steady to dipping and heavy loads of salsa on top. They also are not overly salty either.
