I Heart Keenwah Cranberry Cashew

iheartkeenSkip the traditional granola bar idea of using oats, and try a quinoa version. That’s exactly what I Heart Keewah Cranberry Cashew does, by combining quinoa, cashews, and dried cranberries in a delicious bite-size piece. And without any added fillers and using all-natural ingredients, this turned out to be a sweet and flavorful, delicious snack that can easily satisfy your sweet tooth.

There’s great balance in the use of the mild nutty flavor of quinoa, with the tart, yet sweet cranberries together into one delicious bite. They are crunchy yet chewy pieces that aren’t dry at all. And if you’re a fan of dried cranberries or dried cherries, you’re sure to enjoy that sweet burst of flavor. The pieces are great size for when you want a snack here and there, such as at your desk, during those long car rides, when you’re running errands, or when you simply just want a tasty snack. The last scenario happens to be my excuse.

Cost: $4.99 for 113 grams.
Value for Cost: It does ring in a bit for the price tag than the typical box of granola bars, but at least it is all-natural ingredients that are used. So maybe, once in a while would be a decent grab off the shelves for convenience or if you’re up to try something new from the usual.
Availability: Limited number of grocery stores and selective natural food stores.
Nutrition: For 7 pieces (28 grams): 120 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 130 mg of sodium, 20 grams of carbohydrates, less than 1 gram of fibre, 9 grams of sugar, and 2 grams of protein.
Overall: I was greeted with an empty bag fairly quickly, but that’s because they do taste great.
